challenge your understanding and impact the world
Holocaust denial and antisemitism are on the rise all over the globe. An MA degree in Holocaust Studies will set you on a career path that allows you to impact the world. The Weiss-Livnat International MA Program in Holocaust Studies is a one-year, graduate degree dedicated to nurturing a new generation of Holocaust scholars and educators. We provide our students with a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the Holocaust by offering courses taught by prominent Holocaust scholars in the disciplines of History, Anthropology, Psychology, Education, and the Arts. Located at the University of Haifa, Israel, the Weiss-Livnat MA Program provides internship opportunities at leading Israeli Holocaust institutions such as Yad Vashem and Ghetto Fighters House Museum. We also offer students the chance to intern at Holocaust organizations around the world. Some of our partner institutions include; USHMM, POLIN Museum in Warsaw, The Jewish Museum in Budapest, The Jewish Museum in NYC, The Wiener Library in London, The Wannsee House, and the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Throughout the academic year, our students sit in on lectures and talks from Holocaust survivors, international scholars, filmmakers, and museum curators. Now approaching our 8th year, we have had over 160 students from 25 different countries. Our graduates go on to work in the field of Holocaust and Genocide education, commemoration, or museology, and many continue in academia in the pursuit of a PhD. We hope you will join us on our mission to secure the future of Holocaust awareness and education.
